About the role We’re looking for a Software Engineer – DevSecOps to help strengthen the security, reliability and operational resilience of FYI’s platform and AWS production environments. Working closely with Engineering and the Platform team, you will embed security practices into the software development lifecycle while supporting secure deployments, incident response and operational improvements across the. This role plays an important part in ensuring FYI’s technology environment remains scalable, secure and operationally mature as the business continues to grow. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving operational standards and contributing to a high-performing SaaS platform operating at scale Key responsibilities Strengthen secure SDLC practices across Engineering, embedding security into how we design, build, deploy and operate. Support the security, reliability and resilience of FYI’s AWS production environments and cloud infrastructure. Investigate incidents, security events and production issues, driving timely resolution and practical improvements. Improve monitoring, alerting, automation and operational tooling to reduce risk and increase platform visibility. Partner with Engineering and Platform teams to lift standards and support scalable, secure platform operations. About you 5 years’ experience in DevSecOps or a similar role within a SaaS environment. Strong experience working with AWS environments and cloud infrastructure security practices. Experience working with Node.js, including the ability to support and troubleshoot applications within Node-based environments. Understanding of secure SDLC practices, operational security and production environment management. Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams in fast-moving environments. You’ll need to be based in Sydney or Adelaide, with valid working rights in Australia and the ability to complete satisfactory background and verification checks, as part of our standard recruitment process.
